Sports

I focused on sports media this week after BYU's big win against Wisconsin. I was listening and watching the game with a different perspective. I thought it was interesting how the announcers were obviously very bias and wanted Wisconsin to win. BYU was the underdog and it was obvious that they weren't expected to win, but at the end of the game, instead of calling it an "incredible win for BYU," the announcers called it a "devastating loss for Wisconsin." Although it bothered me that they couldn't accept the huge win and what a big deal this was for us, I found it hilarious. We went back and watched the game again after we knew they won and it was so funny to see how pro-Wisconsin the announcers were. That's what made the win so much sweeter.

Week 1

This week I've really been thinking about how TV/Netflix affects me. I don't watch very much TV normally but I do notice that watching shows that I've watched all my life does help me when I'm stressed out. I love Friends and have since I was little. I remember watching the last episode when it came out with my Mom when I was 7 and crying. Haha I probably didn't understand majority of what was going on but I loved those characters on the show and spending time with my Mom. I've watched every episode countless times and it just always puts me in a good mood. I don't normally watch more than 2 episodes total per week but it's just enough to help me feel good and calm down from whatever is going on. I think we definitely have emotional connections to TV shows as funny as that sounds!
