Sports

I focused on sports media this week after BYU's big win against Wisconsin. I was listening and watching the game with a different perspective. I thought it was interesting how the announcers were obviously very bias and wanted Wisconsin to win. BYU was the underdog and it was obvious that they weren't expected to win, but at the end of the game, instead of calling it an "incredible win for BYU," the announcers called it a "devastating loss for Wisconsin." Although it bothered me that they couldn't accept the huge win and what a big deal this was for us, I found it hilarious. We went back and watched the game again after we knew they won and it was so funny to see how pro-Wisconsin the announcers were. That's what made the win so much sweeter.

  1. amen! I always like rooting for the underdog because of that exact reason! Go BYU!

  2. I will read anything that says sports. :) Such an amazing game. Glad BYU shoved it to the announcers and everyone else (including myself cause let's be real, sometimes BYU football is a little rough).

  3. I was so glad we won! But I love you're talk on how bias the media can be sometimes. Regardless whether it is sports or the news, many times people on the media give the part they want you to see and hear.

Christmas Music

I've never really been one to have a set rule on when it's okay to start listening to Christmas music. I think Thanksgiving is awesome but I don't think there should be a problem with listening to Christmas music for a month or two leading up to Christmas. I love the Christmas Spirit that it brings and the memories it brings back hearing certain songs. What do you guys think? Is there a certain date that Christmas music is okay to listen to?

Atypical

I'm not a big TV junkie but a friend at work told me I HAD to watch a series called "Atypical" on Netflix. My husband and I "binge-watched" the first two seasons this past week. HOLY COW. It's a great show. Some parts are hard to watch but it's SO REAL. It's about a teenage boy with autism and how his family deals with life with him. They are all going through hard things too and the parents' relationship is crumbling, but it's showing what it's like to live with someone with Autism and what life is like from their point of view. I 10/10 recommend it. I love TV shows that show real life things. If you are looking for an awesome show, Atypical is for you!

KSL

I've never really been one to watch the news but recently I've been reading through KSL quite a bit. It's crazy to hear about all the things that are happening here in Utah county. I heard about a massive turkey e coli break out and I'm kind of paranoid now for Thanksgiving this week haha. The news can be a huge blessing to know what's going on but sometimes it's hard to hear of all the evil in the world.
